I connected with Seema through The Lactation Network. Prior to meeting, Seema was diligent to ask questions about my health and my baby’s health to be prepared for our appointment, which happened within a few days. During our appointment, she worked with myself, baby, and husband to discuss our progress with breastfeeding, where we’re looking to improve, and how we should be incorporating pumping into our schedule. Seema walked us through examples using a doll and hands-on techniques to figure out what’s best for us. She also provided great advice on the best kinds of bottles we should be feeding with. All in all, it was an extremely informative session and has allowed me to improve my breastfeeding latch. I’d be happy to work with Seema again in my breastfeeding journey.

I am Milgian Gonzalez Monroy, Abby’s mother, during my baby’s check-up visit and teaching with Seema about breastfeeding, this was very good for me, her help was excellent, her advice from how to place my baby to getting a breast pump; however, she recommended that breastfeeding should be direct to the baby as much as possible and that I shouldn’t be using the pump too much before speaking with her. 

She was very nice and polite. Thanks for your help, it helped me a lot. Now I don’t feel frustrated. Now I know that breastfeeding is not painful.​

I’ve been struggling to breastfeed my newborn and became very frustrated, saddened, and exhausted. I prayed that I would find a specialist who could help me during this difficult time. I found nurse Seema Doshi who is also a lactation nurse. Nurse Doshi is God sent, she is super patient, intelligent, and caring. I’ve done all that she says, and the results are beyond excellent. Definitely 10 out of 10!
